ABOUT MICHAEL ROBINSON

Michael Robinson has a proven track record in Law and has been involved in many cases which have set legal precedent. A brief outline of his career is below:

 

TRAINING AND BACKGROUND

Michael Robinson read Law at Worcester College, Oxford and trained at Herbert Smith, a leading commercial litigation firm in the City of London.
In 1974 he joined the City law firm Richards Butler and he became a partner in their International Trade and Commodities Department in 1977.
He was admitted as a Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Gibraltar in 1994.
He left Richards Butler in 1995 and set up the firm Michael Robinson as sole principal in 1996.
In 2002 Michael Robinson participated in the formation of a new arbitration forum now called London Commodity and Maritime Arbitration Service (“LCMAS”).  He is the secretary of LCMAS.

EXPERIENCE AND RATING

Michael Robinson has acted as legal adviser to arbitrators hearing international disputes and has advised London trade associations on their standard contract terms. Michael Robinson helped found and is a director and Secretary of London Commodity Arbitration Service. He has been rated in the Legal 500 as one of the top three commodities lawyers in England.

Michael Robinson has over 30 years experience of high-value international commercial dispute resolution. His objective in forming his own law firm was to provide clients with high-quality legal services at a reasonable cost. This continues to be the basis on which the firm is run.
